ConServe Wins 1st Place For Exceptional Wellness

Earns the Risk Achievement of the Year (RAY) Award

Rochester, N.Y. – Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, is thrilled to announce that they have been named the inaugural recipient of the 2016 Risk Achievement of the Year (RAY) Award for their outstanding commitment to health risk management.    The RAY Award, created and sponsored by Berkley Accident and Health, a W. R. Berkley Company, recognizes captive insurance members who exemplify best practices in the management of their health programs while implementing innovative health risk management initiatives.  ConServe was selected as this year's winner for having dedicated themselves to the health and overall well-being of their employees by implementing a comprehensive corporate culture of health into their business.

ConServe is part of the Lawley ProActive Health Captive, a group of 15 employers in Upstate New York that have banded together to self-fund their own health insurance plans.  Instead of transferring risk to third parties, the member companies share the risk among themselves. In this way, they are incentivized to maintain a healthy workforce and attain beneficial goals.  Bob Madden, Senior Benefits Consultant at Lawley Insurance, nominated ConServe for this prestigious award:  "ConServe has embraced our Health Insurance Captive benefit concept and has led the way in developing a wellness culture which not only controls their health costs but also benefits them in having a healthier workforce."  Madden continues "ConServe reduces health care expenses and the employees live healthier and happier."

Jim Hoitt, Vice President of Sales at Berkley Accident & Health, further reinforces the win-win scenario of the member's partnership: "ConServe truly exemplifies the spirit of this new designation. Berkley is proud to support the Lawley ProActive program and to recognize members like ConServe that set the standard for employee health engagement."

According to George Huyler, Vice President of Human Resources at ConServe, "receiving the 2016 RAY Award is a testament to ConServe's commitment to managing the health and well-being of our valued employees."  He continues "it serves as validation of a new initiative that we have embraced in an effort to benefit our team."  "At ConServe, premiums have remained the same for about five years", Huyler adds.  Moving forward, Huyler hopes that this non-traditional health insurance concept will allow ConServe to continue reducing their employees' health care premiums for family coverage as well as providing reduced co-pays for enriched services.
