ConServe Supports American Diabetes Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations

Employee Donations Help Fund Families, Programs and Research

As good corporate citizenship, Continental Service Group, Inc., d/b/a ConServe, prioritizes giving back to the community through their Jeans for Charity Program.  In September, the team, including management and employees alike, worked together to bring about positive change by supporting the American Diabetes Association and the Rochester and Western New York Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations (JDRF).

“We are so honored to have been selected by ConServe as a recipient of their Jeans for Charity Program this month,” said Sarah Goldstein Post, Rochester Market Director for JDRF. “Programs like this not only help to support the important type 1 diabetes (T1D) research that JDRF funds, but also help to raise awareness for T1D and the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes.”  Ed Dickey, Board President, WNY Chapter JDRF also said, “A gift from ConServe would assist us in helping our local families who are dealing with this disease, as well as furthering our research work.  We want to turn type one into type NONE.”

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) was also grateful to be a recipient of ConServe’s Jeans for Charity program. “Each day more people are diagnosed with diabetes in our community and these dollars help support programs, advocacy, and other local initiatives,” said Nicole Berman, Development Director at ADA.

About ConServe’s Jeans For Charity Program
ConServe’s Jeans For Charity initiative began in 2008 when their employees had an idea to launch a program that would provide a way of giving back to their communities.  ConServe employees can participate in monthly charitable donations, benefitting a wide-range of not-for-profits (501-C-3) organizations, in exchange for having the option of dressing down and wearing jeans to work for the entire month. The funds raised by the employees’ generosity are supplemented by the organization’s Matching Gift Program - symbolizing ConServe’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. This ongoing initiative is just one of the ways in which ConServe supports varied and diverse community agencies. To date the program has donated over $973,787 to local community organizations.
