As a result of the employee’s compassion and generosity, countless lives have been touched and enriched.

In the month of February, the ConServe team made donations to the American Heart Association of Rochester and Western New York and Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. “We are extremely grateful to each of our employees for their generosity and their commitment to making a difference in our community,” said George Huyler, Vice President of Human Resources. “Our team of caring and committed employees takes great pride this month in supporting AHA and Goodwill to help to make life a little easier for many people who are struggling with health or vision challenges."

“The American Heart Association was beyond thrilled to receive a donation from ConServe and their employees to support their mission of being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives,” said Michelle Mason, Director of Development for the Buffalo Chapter of the American Heart Association. “Heart disease and stroke are the No.1 and No.3 killers in Western New York and without support, we wouldn’t be able to fund critical research, mission-related activities, physical equipment for schools, and provide more training and guidelines necessary to advance technologies for physicians and healthcare systems. We won’t stop until heart disease and stroke are no longer our greatest health threats and with ConServe’s dedication to supporting our mission, we are one step closer."

Sarah Favro, Senior Philanthropy Manger of ABVI - Goodwill of the Finger Lakes said, “We are extremely grateful to ConServe for their support through the Jeans for Charity program. These contributions help us show people who are blind or visually impaired that despite their vision loss, they can live with a perfect outlook on life. On behalf of these individuals, their families, and our community partners, thank you ConServe!”

About ConServe’s Jeans For Charity Program

ConServe’s Jeans For Charity initiative began in 2007 when their employees had an idea to launch a program that would provide a way of giving back to their communities. ConServe employees can participate in monthly charitable donations, benefitting a wide-range of not-for-profits (501-C-3) organizations, in exchange for having the option of dressing down and wearing jeans to work for the entire month. The funds raised by the employees’ generosity are supplemented by the organization’s Matching Gift Program - symbolizing ConServe’s commitment to good corporate citizenship. This ongoing initiative is just one of the ways in which ConServe supports varied and diverse community agencies. To date, the program has donated more than $1,018,000 to local community organizations.
