A new partnership between Rochester Rehabilitation and ConServe is helping put people with disadvantages to work. The two agencies have created a five-week course to help participants develop skills for a career in collections or customer service. Graduates of the training may then be hired at ConServe (through guaranteed interviews) or at any local company that would benefit from having an employee highly-trained in customer service. The 14 students who are currently enrolled in the course are working to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency, including physical and/or mental disabilities, refugee status, and/or living in poverty.
