ConServe Supports Camp Good Days and the Matthew Foster Foundation

ConServe Employees Support Families Affected by Cancer

Rochester, N.Y. – ConServe employees, along with the company's "Matching Gift Program," donated $8,600 through its "Jeans for Charity" program in June to Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. and the Matthew Foster Foundation.

"A key part of our ConServe mission is that we are dedicated to improving the human condition, and one of the ways we do this for our community is through our 'Jeans for Charity' program, in which we select a different charity, frequently smaller local charities, to support every month," said George Huyler, PHR, Vice President of Human Resources at ConServe. "I am always very impressed by the commitment of our employees to our community. Over 400 of our employees donated to this program for the month of June."

For Camp Good Days and Special Times, an organization that provides free summer camp experiences to families affected by cancer, donations like ConServe's were especially crucial after the damage experienced from flooding in May.

"It's heartwarming to see the support from the employees of ConServe," said Phil Martello, Communications Director at Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc. "Their support and generosity could not come at a better time for Camp Good Days. We're still picking up the pieces from the flood damage we sustained, and cannot thank ConServe enough for their donation."

The Matthew Foster Foundation also supports families affected by cancer by providing financial assistance. From buying groceries, to helping with mortgage payments, medical bills and travel expenses, the Foundation is committed to serving families in the Buffalo and Western New York area.

"My son, Matthew, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 17," said Burt Foster, President of the Matthew Foster Foundation.  "In his short time with us, he made a positive impact on everyone he met. Matthew inspires my family and I to continue his legacy by supporting families right here in our community who are impacted by cancer. To date we have helped over 425 families in the Western New York area and with ConServe's donation, we can continue our mission."

About the Matthew Foster Foundation

The Matthew Foster Foundation was established by the family and friends of Matthew Foster in February 1999 after they lost Matthew to a 25 month battle with cancer.
