ConServe Participates in the "Be The Match" Bone Marrow Donor Registry

"Be the Match Program"

Rochester, N.Y. - ConServe, a leading provider of accounts receivable management and collection services for higher education, government and commercial markets, is proud to support the National Marrow Donor Program.

More than 265 employees donated monetarily, while more than 70 employees signed up to see if they were an eligible bone marrow match. The "Be the Match" registry was created, "to meet this need by engaging a growing community of people inspired and committed to help patients in any way they can — by joining the registry, donating umbilical cord blood, contributing financially or getting involved." (http://marrow.org) In addition, ConServe employees raised a total of $2,690 for the National Marrow Donor Program.

"Every year, thousands of people of all ages are diagnosed with blood cancers like leukemia or lymphoma, sickle cell anemia or other life-threatening diseases. Many of them will die unless they get a bone marrow or cord blood transplant from a matching donor. Seventy percent of people do not have a donor in their family and depend on our 'Be The Match Registry' to find a match to save their life".
